The mission of GMF is to contribute to the education of young people, through a value system based, to help build a better society where people are self-fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role in society
VISION
To foster an enabling environment that promotes the realization, respect, and protection of fundamental human rights among youth and children, while nurturing their leadership potential to empower them as active and responsible contributors to society
GOAL
To enhance the living standards of vulnerable communities—particularly street children—in Western Uganda through community mobilization, capacity building, and the strengthening of grassroots institutions, including families.
GIGI MERCY FOUNDATION
Gigi Mercy Foundation is a registered non-profit organization based in Uganda, dedicated to improving the well-being of individuals and communities in need. Our work focuses on delivering essential resources and support to marginalized populations, including children, women, and families living in poverty.
We are guided by the belief that every individual deserves the opportunity to lead a dignified and fulfilling life. To this end, we are committed to addressing the root causes of poverty and inequality through sustainable, community-driven solutions.
Fred Ddembe
Fred Ddembe is a compassionate social advocate and founder of the GIGI-MERCY FOUNDATION, a non-profit organization dedicated to uplifting the lives of vulnerable individuals and communities through empathy, shared humanity, and sustainable support.
Fred often reflects on the profound words of his mother: “You came with nothing, and you will go with nothing.” These words, spoken at a pivotal time in his life after completing his A-Levels, became a guiding principle in his journey. They ignited in him a lifelong dedication to serve those who, like him, once faced despair and lack of opportunity.
